Avon 3: Professionalism, leadership and courtesy…with a smile

smile 1

“If you’re reading this…
Congratulations, you’re alive.
If that’s not something to smile about,
then I don’t know what is.” (Chad Sugg- Monsters under your bed)

“Everytime you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.”
(Mother Teresa)

A smile can be a great healing tool. Listen to this patient’s experience but make sure it’s genuine, otherwise: “You can only hold a smile for so long, after that it’s just teeth.”
(Chuck Palahniuk, Invisible Monsters )

smile 2I was in hospital in the past month and would like to thank the following people.
First of all I would like to thank the following doctors: Dr. Roberts, Dr. Ling, Dr. Crowther and the young doctors that worked on Avon 3> I would like to thank them for their bedside manner and their knowledge in the field. They were very professional in what they did.
Now I would like to thank Donna who was the sister on Avon 3 who led her staff with excellent leadership. All the staff were excellent and hardworking, they showed great professionalism and were always available for any of my needs. They also made themselves available if my wife had any questions. Everyone, including the cleaners and catering staff had a smile on their faces.
Once again I would like to thank Worcestershire Royal Hospital for all the help they gave me and all the courtesy you showed all members of my family.
